Two weeks ago, I pressed “publish” on my first official song.
It sounds simple, but in truth, it was one of the most frightening moments of my life. For months, I battled questions in my head: Will anyone care? Am I ready? What if my voice isn’t good enough? What if people laugh?
I had dropped a couple of songs casually before, but those were safe, almost hidden. They didn’t carry the weight of expectation. This release was different. This time, my name, my heart, and my identity stood at the front line. And that made me afraid.

The Leap of Faith
Fear has a strange way of showing you how much something matters. I realized that my fear was proof of the dream inside me. If I was this nervous, it meant I truly cared.
So I chose to leap anyway. I chose to release the song trembling, uncertain, but determined. And when I did, something shifted. The fear didn’t disappear, but it was replaced with something stronger: pride.
More Than Music
This song is more than sound waves and lyrics. It’s my courage recorded. It’s a piece of Sierra Leone music carried in rhythm. It’s Afro Fusion with touches of Krio Fusion and the heartbeat of African music. It’s a declaration that even when doubt shouts loud, I will still sing.
For me, music has never just been about entertainment. It’s about telling stories, shaping culture, and creating bridges. This first official release is not just a track — it’s the foundation of a movement, one that says: Dreams are worth the risk. This is the start of my journey of Music for Good — using songs not only to inspire, but to uplift and give back.
What I’ve Learned
Looking back over these past two weeks, here’s what I carry with me:
* Fear is normal. If you’re not afraid, maybe the dream isn’t big enough.
* Growth comes from the leap. The casual drops were practice; this official release was the real jump.
* Identity matters. This track carries my Afro-Fusion voice, rooted in Sierra Leone, aimed at the world.
* Commitment counts. Releasing officially is my way of saying: I’m here to stay.
A True Beginning in Afro Fusion
I know this is only the start. More songs are waiting, more stories are burning inside me, and more risks will come. But this first release will always hold a special place because it’s proof that I dared to begin, afraid, but faithful. To everyone who has listened, shared, or encouraged me: thank you. Your support doesn’t just fuel my music — it fuels my courage. If you haven’t heard it yet, here it is — not just a song, but a piece of my heart, blending Afro Beats, Afro Fusion, and Sierra Leone music for the world to hear:
